From Surviving to Thriving on Tenure Track

This workshop series will help you thrive in your teaching, research, and service as a new faculty member at your institution in the first three years.

Now that you have secured your tenure track position, you are trying to navigate all that comes with being a early career faculty.

You might be asking yourself:

  1. How do I figure out what to do for teaching, research, and service?

  2. How can I have successful teaching evaluations?

  3. How can I keep up with everything I have to do as a new faculty?

You’re overwhelmed because you feel that you have not prepared your best. You might be nervous about your first interactions in the classroom.

All of these questions are normal when you are first getting started on this journey.

I created this workshop series to help you navigate through this process, so you can prepare a successful third-year review and feel confident in finishing out for tenure.

I’ve been living this out for the past 5 years so I know these struggles firsthand. Eventually, I had a successful third-year review.

I would like to let other new faculty know that this is attainable with intentionality. At the end of the day, we want to submit the precursor to our final dossier and finally get tenure!

The goal is not to ONLY get tenure. The goal is to create an academic experience that aligns with your values while putting in the work that will get you to tenure.

In these workshops, you will learn how to:
